Ever wonder what it would be like to be a twin mom? Ever wish your single child had a sibling exactly their age?

If you're saying yes, then listen up. I am a twin mom. I have a set of fraternal twins, one boy, one girl. As of this writing, they are 11 years old. Going to be 12 in November. For privacy, I will tell you their nicknames. Sis and Pip. Their nicknames came from another child I used to babysit when they were little, and she couldn't pronounce their name. So we kept it at Sis and Pip. They've been Sis and Pip ever since. 

Let me tell you, though, being a twin mom hasn't been easy. When they were infants, it felt like a  dream that never ended. One would settle and go to sleep, the other would wake up. Eventually, I did get them on the same cycle, but this took some time. 

When they were toddlers, it was just as fun!! The running, jumping, screaming days of the terrible two's!!! Oh did I mention biting? Sis thought her brother Pip was her chew toy and she could sink her teeth in him whenever she felt was necessary. 

Running was is an understatement. These two knew how to run!!! Well escape also. They got out the front door once before mommy and big sis actually knew. Decided to run out the front door and down the street in their little diapers and t-shirts. Before you freak out this was a very hot day.  This sent me into a panic and I went after one while big sis went after the other. They ran down two whole blocks before we dragged them kicking and screaming all the way home. 

Right now we are in the preteen stage. All the sarcasm, sass. and crazy dialect they use for words that mean the total opposite of what their supposed to. Most of them I don't understand. Some I get but just don't understand. This is a fun stage for me. Getting to know who they are as a person and learning their own individuality. 

Being a twin mom is great!! With all of the ups and downs, its the most rewarding time one could have. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
